SHANGHAI, Jul. 17 (SMM) - Domestic zinc concentrate TCs are expected to fall slightly due to supply tightness in South China, SMM foresees.
"Concentrate supply in South China is still limited, despite the fact that more local mines resumed production”, SMM zinc analyst says. Actually, some mines in South China have lowered domestic zinc concentrate TCs further on tight supply.
Zinc concentrate supply in North China is healthy, though, with an increasing number of Gansu-based mines restarting recently.
TCs of domestic zinc concentrate (Zn 50%) were 5,300-5,500 yuan per tonne (zinc content, price to factory) this past week, or as low as 5,200 yuan, SMM data show.
